Description
This Colt Second Generation Single Action Army revolver in .45 Long Colt stands out as a rare collector’s piece with direct ties to legendary Colt authority Arnold Marcus Chernoff. Shipped in 1956 as part of a matched pair to H.H. Harris & Co., this revolver was customized under Chernoff’s direction with striking pearl grips and his name professionally inscribed on the backstrap.
Featuring a 7.5” barrel and classic blue and casehardened finish, this revolver embodies the Colt tradition while offering unique collector provenance. Inscribed “No. 1” on the backstrap, it was part of a holstered set, complete with a black leather rig and included photograph of Chernoff himself wearing the setup. This offering includes the holster rig, spare .45 LC barrel, period-correct Colt literature, and a factory box (numbered to another revolver).
