I’m very happy with the Marlin 1895 SBL 45-70 government lever action rifle. It took about two weeks from the purchase date to receive the rifle at my local FFL. Shipping time was about two days. The fit and finish of the rifle is impeccable. I’ve gotten a lot of compliments on it at my local shooting range. Zeroed it in yesterday with Hornady Leverolution 325 grain loads at 100 yards. I’m using a fixed Burris 2x20 fixed handgun scope in a scout configuration.
I would buy from Gunprime again. I found calling them works best as far as communication.
I’ve been looking for about a year to find this rifle at less than the ridiculous gunbroker prices. I got an order confirmation immediately, and had a UPS tracking number within 4 hours. Shipping was fast (ordered on Thursday, arrived at LGS on Monday) and rifle was flawless. I could not be happier with the process.

I completely understand why this rifle is in such high demand. Very well-built and a beautiful piece of work. The craftsmanship is high quality. I don't agree with the price being so much higher than the MSRP, I feel like the retail dealers are price gouging.
